Casa de Goa – Hounslow: A Hidden Gem for Authentic Goan Flavours Tucked away in the heart of Hounslow, Casa de Goa is a no-frills, homely eatery that delivers a genuine taste of Goa’s vibrant culinary heritage. Whether you’re a Goan food enthusiast or simply curious to explore regional Indian flavours, this cozy spot is a delightful discovery. Food & Flavour The menu at Casa de Goa is unapologetically Goan, offering everything from traditional ros omelette and prawn curry rice to beef chili fry and fish thali. Dishes are well-portioned and flavourful, staying true to the roots with the use of signature Goan spices, coconut, and vinegar blends. The Goan fish thali is a standout—perfectly fried fish served with rice, curry, pickle, and vegetables that capture the coastal essence of Goa. The ros omelette (a street food staple in Goa) served with pav, is comforting and satisfying, especially for breakfast lovers. Ambience & Experience Don’t expect fine dining—Casa de Goa has the feel of a local Goan tavern. It’s simple, clean, and unpretentious. What it may lack in décor, it more than makes up for in authenticity. The basement-level setting is intimate, making it ideal for casual meals with family or friends. Service is typically warm and welcoming, with staff members happy to guide first-timers through the menu. Value for Money Pricing is very reasonable considering the generous portions and authentic quality. Most mains range between £8–£12, and there are affordable breakfast and snack options too. For those on a budget who don’t want to compromise on flavour, Casa de Goa offers excellent value. Delivery & Takeaway The restaurant also partners with platforms like Uber Eats and Deliveroo, making it easy to enjoy Goan food at home. Reviewers consistently note the food travels well, retaining its taste and freshness. Final Thoughts Casa de Goa is a heartfelt tribute to Goan cuisine in West London. It’s not trying to impress with luxury—it aims to feed you well, remind you of home (if you’re Goan), or introduce you to the rich and spicy flavours of coastal India. If you’re after authenticity over aesthetics, this charming spot is definitely worth a visit.
We started with the beef cutlet bread, which unfortunately was a bit of a disappointment. The beef portion was small and felt a bit chewy. However, the chilli squid and chicken lollipops were absolute winners. Both were incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the mussels masala fry. The overall experience was enjoyable.
The food here was good, service was very average and the ambience was nice. The chicken lollipop was good and so was the beef chilli fry. The prawns fried rice was average. Worth a visit to try goan food in london.
Authentic Goan Delight! I tried the kingfish thali here and it was absolutely amazing! The fish was fresh, perfectly spiced, and cooked just right—crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The thali came with all the traditional sides: rice, sol kadi, vegetable curries, pickle, and papad, each one complementing the main dish beautifully.
Taste was Best, but I felt the thali was a little less in quantity with regards to Okra Veg, Shells, and the Sweet Dessert. Chonok Fish was great.
First time trying Goa cuisine in UK. We had Rosomelete -flavourful gravy and complemented well with Goan pav bun. We also had choris pav-my personal favourite. Would recommend to try this place out for good authentic satisfying Goan meal.
I have visited Casa De Goan several times in the past, but during my visit this weekend, I was surprised to see its renovated look and feel. It’s much better than before, although the improvements come with a price increase. This restaurant is a must-try for all seafood lovers, as it offers an authentic experience and taste of Goan cuisine. We tried several dishes, including Tangy Chicken Lollipop, Chilli Squid, King Fish Masala, Goan Fish Thali, and Prawn Fried Rice.
It’s all about my recent online order I’ve ordered from Casa de Goa so many times and they never miss! The food is always full of flavour and super satisfying. This time I asked for a little extra prawn gravy in the notes, and they actually sent it — made my day! It’s little things like that that show they really care. Definitely my go-to for Goan food!
